What this is

A named Australian path from signals → sovereign human–machine capability beside Bradfield’s advanced manufacturing stack — so AUKUS southern eyes (Exmouth / DARC) meet southern hands (Aerotropolis) without leasing mind and meaning to models trained elsewhere.

Not a mineral. A processing path for attention itself: how humans and machines sense, decide, and act together in near-Earth (and eventually farther) environments.

The Built neighbours (do not claim as this pathway)

These are Built. This Brief does not wear their credibility as if BCI were already sited.

The pathway (Proposal)

Input: Human neural / physiological signal + operator intent + robotic / autonomous effectors
Process (the plant, not the ore):

1. Rail A — Tip (habit / action): dual-use BCI–robotics for assistive control, operator–autonomy handoff, contested logistics. Discrete decode. Spreadsheet receipts. AUKUS-intelligible.
2. Rail B — Base (filter / durée / meaning): protocols for attention-to-life tension — fatigue, flow, hypnagogia, dream-onset — co-interpreted with participants. Ethics-first. Not extractive unconscious-mining.
3. Hinge: shared floor, packaging, robotics; split consent and metrics. Rail A = task completion. Rail B = fidelity to lived experience + participant agency.

Output: Australian-sited human–machine stack that can couple to space domain awareness timelines — replace / repair / refuse with minds still in the bargain.

Why this mineral-analogue matters

Ore = raw EEG, hype, overseas demos.
Processing = onshore packaging + robotics + Bergson-literate design so consciousness is not collapsed into a classifier label.
Without processing, Australia exports breakthroughs and imports finished mind-tech — same lease pattern as awareness without industry.

Falsifiable 24-month tests

1. Named tenancy or programme MoU inside Aerotropolis / Bradfield enterprise or AMRF adjacency for a dual-rail BCI–robotics cell.
2. One Rail A demonstrator with open success metric (task) and Australian PI / industry partner on the paperwork.
3. One Rail B protocol with published consent standard and participant co-interpretation clause (no silent secondary use).
4. Explicit coupling sentence in programme docs to southern SDA / DARC industrial timeline — eyes and hands on one clock.

If any fail, this remains Vision. Do not smuggle it into Built.

Governance boundary

• Built: AMRF, packaging, airport logistics.
• Proposal: this dual-rail pathway.
• Codex / Vision: full “Mind-at-Large” metaphysics — may inform design ethics; does not fund; does not appear as proof.

Ask

Treat BCI + robotics @ Aerotropolis as a line item that survives a spreadsheet before 2027 — funded, sited, coupled to DARC’s clock — with Crystal (and peers) as healthy participants in Rail A and Rail B, not subjects of someone else’s stack.
