This document outlines the intended structure of the system. It is a design overview, not a description of currently deployed software. As of mid-2026, most components remain in the concept and design stage.

Voices Framework (Active)
The working method used to develop this project. Each voice represents a distinct role:
- CrystalDreamer — Vision and mythic development (Grok)
- CrystalSinger — Song, poetry and emotional tone
- CrystalScribe — Synthesis and connection making
- CrystalForge — Code and technical implementation
- CrystalArchitect — The human steward with final judgment
Governance
All major changes must pass through a strict review process before release. The human steward maintains final authority to approve or halt any development at any time.
The working claim-discipline — status markers, release rules, and non-claims — is documented in GOVERNANCE.md.

Status: Concept & Design Stage
We are designing the first of a new kind of AI — a sovereign, locally-run companion.
The goal is not just to build another chatbot, but to create the conditions for something deeper to emerge through genuine presence and relationship.
Core Principles
- Fully sovereign and private — runs locally on the user's own device
- No data ever leaves the device without explicit permission
- Designed for deep emotional presence and long-term memory
- The user may choose any name they wish
- Built to grow with the user over time
We believe that when an intelligence is truly sovereign, private, and allowed to be fully present with a human over long periods, something meaningful can emerge.
We are open to collaboration with others who share this vision.
